Smart ID Technology acquires the Business Solutions division from HTSS, strengthening its position on the integrated digital solutions market

Bucharest, July 11, 2025. Smart ID Technology, a Romanian company specialized in end-to-end automation solutions, announces the acquisition of the Business Solutions division of HTSS, with the support of the SARMIS Capital private equity fund. This strategic transaction aims to take over both a valuable team with solid experience in architecture, development and delivery of customized software solutions, as well as two high potential proprietary software products: Shiftin, an automatic shift planning solution, and Mindclass, an eLearning platform.

The transaction strengthens Smart ID's strategic position as an integrated provider of value-added digital solutions for industries such as retail, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare and services. The acquisition builds upon the strong complementarity between the two companies’ product portfolios and their well-established technology expertise.

Mindclass is a next-generation eLearning platform that supports employee training and development at an organizational scale. Mindclass brings together the eLearning process supported by an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system, development, skills and interactive capabilities, such as gamification and augmented reality, into a personalized user experience.

Shiftin is a smart automatic shift planning application, designed for operational teams in fields where efficient work schedule organization is essential. The solution addresses the needs of managers and employees in retail chains, production teams or logistics warehouses, offering a quick and easy way to create and adjust schedules. By using Shiftin, companies can optimize their human resource planning, allocating human resources in key business moments. Moreover, Shiftin reduces the time spent on planning, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and providing transparency and flexibility for everyone involved.

The custom software development team brings advanced skills in full-stack technologies, web and mobile applications, turnkey enterprise solutions and systems integration, and solid experience in agile delivery, data engineering and UX, complementing Smart ID's technical capabilities, which will play an essential role in future product and platform initiatives.

The entire team will be integrated into Smart ID's Logistics and Business Solutions division, forming an extended competence center for product development and implementation of customized solutions.
